Privacy Policy

THE STUDIO is established in Germany (European Union) and consequently all processing of personal data is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG), regardless of THE CLIENT's country of residence. This protection standard applies to all clients internationally.

1. Collection and use of data

THE STUDIO will collect and use only the personal data strictly necessary for the provision of the contracted services.

Personal data will only be used for the following purposes, unless additional prior authorization is given: providing the contracted architectural design services, preparing proposals, contracts and invoicing, maintaining professional communication with THE CLIENT, fulfilling legal and tax obligations, and improving the quality of the service.

  • Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR)
  • Consent of the data subject, where applicable (Art. 6.1.a GDPR)
  • Legitimate interest of THE STUDIO (Art. 6.1.f GDPR)

3. Security and third parties

THE STUDIO adopts reasonable technical and organizational measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure.

THE STUDIO will NOT share personal data with third parties except where necessary for the correct execution of the service (consultants, engineers, suppliers), with express authorization from the client or due to legal requirement. In all cases, third parties will be required to comply with adequate confidentiality and data protection standards.

4. Rights of the data subject

THE CLIENT may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Access to their personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure / right to be forgotten (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time

Clients residing in the EU have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. In Berlin, the competent authority is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (www.datenschutz-berlin.de).

5. Retention

THE STUDIO will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or in accordance with current legal obligations (in particular, the tax and commercial retention periods established under German law, generally between 6 and 10 years).

6. Use for portfolio

THE STUDIO may use images, plans, renders or photographs of the project for portfolio, publication or professional promotion purposes, always respecting THE CLIENT's identity and privacy, unless the latter expresses its opposition in writing.

THE STUDIO reserves the right to modify its privacy policies to adapt them to legal changes or improvements in its practices. Updated versions will be available on THE STUDIO's official channels.
