Amanda Simó Studio (AMSÓ) is a multidisciplinary architecture studio specializing in spaces for childhood and family. We work from the conviction that space is not a neutral backdrop — it shapes behavior, emotions, learning, and the quality of everyday life. Every design decision we make is rooted in that understanding.

Our approach is genuinely multidisciplinary. We collaborate with neuroscientists, educators, pediatric therapists, psychologists and other specialists — because the best spaces for children and families are never designed in isolation. Neuroarchitecture is our scientific foundation: a discipline that applies neuroscience research to spatial design, allowing us to make decisions that go beyond intuition and aesthetics.

Amanda believes the best work happens when different minds meet around the same table — which is why collaboration is not just how she works, but how she thinks.

At the helm, Amanda Simó — architect and mother, with over ten years of experience working with global clients across Europe and Latin America, and a track record that includes large-scale projects for internationally recognized organizations. Becoming a mother deepened her conviction that the spaces where children grow up matter more than we often realize. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Santo Domingo and with Merit from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, ranked the world's number one architecture school by the QS World University Ranking 2025. Active member of the Architektenkammer Berlin since 2023. Based in Berlin, with projects across Latin America and Europe.

Amanda's professional trajectory spans over ten years at internationally recognized architecture firms in Santo Domingo, London and Berlin, where she has led and coordinated projects across scales — from corporate headquarters and mixed-use developments of up to 55,000 m² for global organizations, to detailed technical design and construction documentation. She has worked across all phases of the architectural process, from briefing and concept through to construction oversight, developing a deep command of design, technical coordination, team leadership and international client management.

Her specialization in interaction design and her research at the Interactive Architecture Lab in London — in collaboration with the Tate Modern — gave her a rigorous understanding of how people perceive, move through, and are shaped by the spaces they inhabit. That foundation, combined with her experience as a mother and her firsthand observation of pedagogical environments in Berlin, defines the studio's approach: an architecture where every decision — light, material, proportion, sound — serves the development and wellbeing of the children and families who use it.
